The job
Hosts are often the first point of contact for visitors embarking on their vacation in Oregon’s Wild Rivers country. They’re responsible for helping campers and general maintenance, among other duties.
Grayback Campground
Just minutes from the Oregon Caves National Monument, the Grayback Campground is situated along the pristine banks of Sucker Creek. This historic Civilian Conservation Corps site has campsites, a small pavilion, and is popular among travelers and locals alike.
Sam Brown Campground
An hour from Merlin, Ore., Sam Brown is deep inside the the Wild Rivers District at about 2000ft. elevation. Popular among equestrians.
Bolan Lake Campground
The most remote of the three, Bolan Lake Campground is situated at 5,500ft. elevation, and a remote hideaway from the summer heat. This remote site is quiet, and hosts must be self-reliant. The host here will also be responsible for maintenance of a nearby fire lookout.
