September 13-15 – Volunteer on the Sucker Creek Trail

for the Siskiyou Hiker

There’s nothing more patriotic than giving it your all to help keep our National Forests alive

29 AUGUST 2019 | ASHLAND, OR. — Join us and the USFS for two nights of work on this dreamy trail leading to the northern recess of the Red Buttes Wilderness Area. Deputy director Karly White and USFS field ranger Andrea Humbert will lead this effort. Meet in Cave Junction at 7:30am on Friday and be back there by 5pm on Sunday.

The Sucker Creek trail is another artery into the Red Buttes wilderness that offers stunning scenery. It’s a very old trail that we last worked on in 2016. We promise to maintain the trails we’ve adopted once every three years, so it’s time. This trip will also help us nurture our collaboration with the US Forest Service.

You don’t need experience, but you should be prepared for a two night backpack. Email info@siskiyoumountainclub.org for details and to sign up.
